Are you wondering how you could leverage all the tools of Instagram and get more people to visit your website?

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, people, communities and businesses around the world are facing a difficult time adjusting to a new way of
life.

If you feel overwhelmed and you don’t know where to start, I would strongly encourage you to jump on the NEW training I’m offering, starting Monday, May 4th. Check it out here.

If not, let’s move on. The good news is that you don’t have to do everything at once.

Let’s make your Instagram business profile grow your business

As you probably know, only people who have 10, 000 followers can use links in their posts or stories

In this tutorial, I’m sharing some creative ways for you to be purposeful in this time of social distancing by doubling down on digital tools, authentically engaging with your community and keeping open lines of communication with your customers so that you can still drive traffic to your website, landing pages, blog or e-commerce.

Here are 7 Instagram tools that help you drive traffic to your website, whether it’s paid traffic or organic traffic.

Some are actual tools, others how to tactics.

Instagram Bio

When you create a Instagram Business Account you can give people more information about your products, service or business. One of them is access to your website right in your bio.

Instagram Direct

Instagram Direct is the equivalent of Facebook Live. You can invite one guest to your live video and showcase your products or services such as the nail polish brand Olive & June.

During your live you can have some calls to action letting people know that they can reach out to you via private messages to learn more about your products or so that you can provide them with the link to buy them from you.

Instagram Stories

In your stories, you can also provide calls to action asking people to send you a Direct Message if they’d like more info about what you’re showing them.

If you sell products, use Shopping Tags so that people can shop your products directly from Feed and Stories.

Instagram Feed

In your posts on Instagram, you can also provide calls to action in your text, asking people to send you a Direct Message if they’d like more info about what you’re showing them.

IGTV

IGTV is the video platform of Instagram. Not only the content stays forever but it also allows you to copy and paste your website link in the description.

Extra tip – you can repurpose your Instagram Direct (that disappears after 24h) in your IGTV by making sure you save the video on your phone once you end the live video.

Direct Messages

Direct Messages are the gold of Instagram. You can not only have meaningful conversations in there but it also allows you to send links to the person interacting with you personally.

Instagram Ads

If you have over 10,000 followers or you’re a verified user, you have an incredibly effective tool at your disposal — the swipe up link. This link enables you to post exciting content regarding a new product, service, or event, and then encourage those users to “swipe up for details.”

When you don’t have one, you can pay Instagram to get one in your stories for example.

Instagram Shopping

To learn more about Instagram shopping, visit the Instagram account called Shop and get inspired by their content.
