Reach, reach, reach…
Are you struggling with finding your audience on social media? Are you hearing yourself say: I don’t have the reach to be seen by more people?
Audiences are the hives of your business. No bees, no hives. You see where I’m going… No audience, no clients, no cash, no business.
Although tt’s no secret that bee populations are in decline, the good news is that your social media bees are probably looking out for you and hanging out in another backyard not far from yours…as we speak
Organic reach versus paid reach
Entrepreneurs’ s job is to grow marketing content that attracts their own specific bees especially now when so many businesses transitioned to the online world.
“My problem is I don’t have REACH…I always understood that intellectually but I’ve just never cared… now that I’m online, it’s really important to have reach.”
This is exactly what I hear over and over when I host strategy sessions with students of mine and or calls with prospects.
This is why today we’re going to talk about 5 ways you can get more reach on social media. And the main thing we’re going to focus on is how to grow an audience in a way that feels good for you.
Some tactics will be free, some will require to invest Facebook ads.
But before I forget, if you like this and you want to get customers online you might like to attend my next webinar on how to start ads that work well for your business. All you need to do is save your spot right here at getstartedwithads.com It’s free.
So when it comes to reaching more people on social media we all need to increase visibility and awareness about our brand but the main thing that holds people back is this: how do I do that from my phone?
How do I get reach?
I get it all the time. People are worried about targeting the right demographic on Facebook, figuring out what content to post for this target audience, and how to talk to them.
But here’s the point: you can do it 2 ways! Actually, it’s best to use both ways for a compounded effect. Here’s what you can start with:
- Create content on a regular basis based on what your current clients ask you most often, post it, and observe if there is any engagement.
- Use that same content on different platforms without reinventing the wheel.
- Ask questions: If you’re not sure what to talk about, go to groups where you think your audience hangs out and read their comments, participate to the conversation, ask a question even such as: Who else struggles with _________? or What would be the first advice you would give someone who’s starting with _________? You will be surprised at how much intel you can get from getting involved in a social conversation on Facebook or LinkedIn groups or in your Stories.
- Interview your current clients and listen to the reason why they first reached out to you for help
- Use ads to confirm your research and test audiences based on interests and behavioural targeting that you’ve discovered while doing point1-2-3&4.
I love doing this for myself and my students when we launch lead ads on Facebook for example. Select a minimum of 10 single audiences (1 per ad set in your Ads Manager) and see how they perform individually for at least 3 days – keep the ones that work!
