Short answer: you don’t wait until it feels comfortable, you build a system that doesn’t depend on comfort. Dr. Linda Speizer, a veterinarian and the founder of KindHearted Pet Euthanasia, spent years hearing the same painful line from grieving pet owners: “If I had just known about you, I would have called you.” She knew exactly what her business needed. She just didn’t know how to talk about herself to get there. Three months after starting the Who The F You Are (WTFY) Authority Bundle with Social Media Love, she was posting regularly on Facebook, hearing directly from clients that they’d seen her online, and saying this on camera, unscripted:
“If I can do it, if I can put myself out there, then you certainly can.”
She still isn’t someone who loves being on camera. What changed is that the fear stopped being the thing in charge.
The problem: being excellent and being invisible at the same time
Dr. Linda provides in-home euthanasia care for pets in the Fredericton, New Brunswick area, pairing palliative pain management with a fully anesthetized, calm passing at home, surrounded by family. She built this specifically so families never have to face a clinic waiting room in their pet’s final hours.
Dr. Linda has spent 35 years as a licensed veterinarian, including 13 years building and leading a 20-person veterinary hospital team, and has served more than 300 families through in-home end-of-life care.
The problem wasn’t her skill or her reputation. It was timing.
“What kept happening was that I would meet people, and they would say, ‘Oh geez, if I had just known about you, then I would have called you.’ I’ve been at this about three years, and so when I hear somebody that had a euthanasia last year, I’m like, I would have come to your house if you had called me and we had worked something out.”
That’s the exact cost of staying quiet for a business like hers: not a lost sale, but a family who didn’t get the option they would have wanted, at the one moment it couldn’t be redone. Her goal going in was simple. Get known enough, early enough, that families find her before they need her.
Why she was stuck before WTFY
Dr. Linda knew video was the answer. She just couldn’t make herself do it.
“My goal was how do I get onto social media in a way that makes sense for me, that’s not too awkward, because I do feel uncomfortable about being on social media talking about myself. I wasn’t comfortable to make my own videos or know what to include in them.”
That’s the exact wall most credible, experienced experts hit. Not a lack of expertise. A lack of comfort talking about themselves, and no system for doing it that doesn’t rely on suddenly becoming comfortable.
What the WTFY Authority Bundle actually gave her
When she heard about the Who The F You Are Authority Bundle, the description matched what she was missing: video content, created for her, and a way to actually use it.
“Through this experience, I do feel that I got a lot of content from these videos that were created, and I’ve also got a lot of techniques, and I learned quite a bit about how to approach getting my name out there onto social media.”
Behind that sentence is a specific process. Two in-depth interviews, one on her expertise and approach, one on her life story and beliefs, cut into 33 evergreen video clip-its with captions written in her own words. Then advisory calls that turned the raw material into an actual rhythm: what to post, when, and how to keep going without overthinking it every time.
“That is what Angélique helped me with: to organize that, to get the videos created, and also quite a bit of tools on how to use the schedule of the posting, and to not be afraid to do the posting. Just do them. I think that’s been the biggest thing I’ve gotten out of the three months.”
The mix that worked: professional clips plus personal content
The videos split into two kinds, and Dr. Linda had never done the second kind before.
“The videos that I did do, both the ones that were kind of the professional clips that you made, and also the encouragement to do some that were really more personal, more about me, which I did not do prior to that… I feel more comfortable doing it now.”
Alternating the two, business content and personal content, is what actually moved the needle:
“It just does feel like the videos that are about me and the ones about the business, if you interchange them, I am getting much more feedback.”
This tracks with the four-bucket rhythm built into her posting system: personal (like), her approach (know), proof and testimonials (trust), and a clear, repeatable offer (buy). Her single best-performing post during the engagement wasn’t a sales post. It was a photo of her 35-year veterinary association membership certificate, credentials, not a pitch. Client recommendations started landing in her comments without her asking.
What changed in her business
- New clients began telling her directly that they’d seen her online before reaching out.
- Engagement and comments increased noticeably once she started posting consistently and mixing content types.
- Her 33 video clip-its are evergreen authority content, ready for her to keep posting for years to come.
“I honestly feel like the videos that I did do… I had no idea if they were seeing them before or not, or if things on my business Facebook page were having any impact. But it just does feel like it’s working, and that was the goal.”
What changed in how she carries visibility
This is the part worth sitting with if fear of visibility is what’s stopping you specifically. Dr. Linda didn’t become a different person. She became less controlled by one particular fear.
“If you looked at my socials prior to this, you would think, well, I don’t know her at all. I was okay to talk about the business, but personally, that was never going to happen. And now I think I can do it. I’m less afraid of any kind of negative feedback, which for me was an impediment.”
That’s the real transformation: not comfort, but a fear that no longer runs the show.
Was it worth it?
Asked directly, her answer was unhedged:
“I do feel like I got what I was looking for. The price was right, and I was able to afford it, and I feel like I got my money’s worth. So I think that you should do it if you’re thinking about it.”
Her advice to anyone in her shoes
“I would say, just do it. Even if it seems embarrassing or hard, or you’re bragging, or people aren’t going to say nice things. All of that stuff may happen. Hasn’t happened to me. But it’s going to be okay. I think the outcome is probably worth it. So take a leap.”
And, most simply:
“If I can do it, if I can put myself out there, then you certainly can.”
Frequently asked questions
What is the Who The F You Are (WTFY) Authority Bundle?
It’s Social Media Love’s done-for-you authority package: two in-depth interviews, a credibility and expertise interview and a life-story and belief interview, cut into short video clips with ready-to-use captions, plus advisory calls that turn the material into a repeatable posting system over three months. It’s the authority piece of Angélique Binet’s V.I.S.I.B.L.E. Method™, the same process she uses with her private 1:1 clients and teaches inside the Visibility Amplifier.
Do I have to be comfortable on camera for this to work?
No. Dr. Linda Speizer described being on social media as making her “uncomfortable” and being unable to make her own videos going in. The bundle is built to create the video content and the posting system for you, not to require that you already enjoy self-promotion.
How long does it take to see results?
Within the three-month engagement, Dr. Linda had new clients naming her online content as the reason they reached out, and reported noticeably more engagement once she began posting consistently.
Is it worth the cost?
In her own words: “I feel like I got what I was looking for… I feel like I got my money’s worth.”
Does this work for people who avoid talking about themselves?
It’s built for exactly that person. Dr. Linda had never posted personal content before this engagement. The personal videos, alongside her professional clips, were specifically what increased her feedback and visibility once she started alternating the two.
