Social media marketing

Are those words too much for you?

Have you ever wondered if you should be somewhere else online outside of Facebook?

Are you wondering if social media is enough to promote your organization?

If you’re a small organization, you might feel overwhelmed by the amount of tools and work that you feel you should be doing to promote your products or services.

I see a lot of people throwing all their energy on social media, sometimes even just Facebook for example.

MARKETING ECO-SYSTEM

In order to create a healthy marketing eco-system, and especially if you’re a beginner, make sure you consider promoting yourself beyond social media as they’re only rented land. Consider social media as your amplifiers at first. pexels-photo-114820.

 3 BASIC TIPS*

Here are the top things you could consider nurturing to make sure you cover the basic scope of promoting yourself.

  1. an email list
  2. a few social media platforms (2-3) | including social media advertising
  3. a blog, a website, a landing page

Number #3 [Blog/Website] is your steady ground on Google land : people are searching the web for specific questions. You might be their answer. This is why having some steady ground online such as a website or blog articles can help you to be found more easily.

Then you use Number #2 [Social Media] to promote your services, products, blog articles, YouTube Videos,  etc.

Number #1 [Email List] is your steady blood infusion… Collect as many e-mails as you can. Let say social media vanishes, and your website is crashing…You still know how to reach your community via e-mails – and so far there is no specific algorithm that stops your email to be seen from your subscribers – as far as I know.

*Of course, if you’re more advance you can add the full scope of digital advertising. But I’m talking simple here.

I’m writing this blog only because I am worried for some entrepreneurs who used social media like something they own or that is permanent and inherent to their business.

I hope this helps you. Leave me a comment. I would love to hear what you have to say on this topic.

Cheers,
