Did you know that you can set your News Feed preferences, as a person?

Did you know that you could influence how your fans set up their News Feed preferences, as a Facebook page?

What does See First means on Facebook?

When you select a person or Page to see first, their posts appear at the top of your News Feed. The person or Page won’t know you selected them. – Facebook

As default, when people like a new page it looks like this. But…

The See First option is OFF

If you educate your Facebook community by telling each of your fans and followers to select the See First option in their news feed, it will look like below.

The See First Option Is ON

In this video, I’m showing you how to do it in real time on Facebook.

Teach your tribe how to make sure they see your posts

I would recommend to all of you solopreneurs, small businesses and organizations, to hop on your Facebook page for a Live Video session with your peeps and tell them to do as shown to you in this video.

I’m bringing back this tip that is not new but underused in the context of the Facebook’s News Feed algorithm changes that are coming up this year. This may help Facebook pages to stick to their fans’ newsfeed more easily. We’ve got to try it as a personal user and as a Facebook page business owner and see what happens.

Plus I’ve noticed that this facebook see first list is quite a popular topic searched on Google. My Google AdWords account tells me that these keywords are the most researched:  see first facebook, see first, facebook see first list, facebook see first setting, facebook timeline and see first list facebook.

Are you up for this? Let me know in the comments.

Cheers,

– Angélique
