Let say that this question is the #1 question women entrepreneur have for me when we meet. And it’s a tricky one. But the good news is that you don’t have to break the bank when starting with Facebook ads or Instagram ads.

You can run ads on Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network on any budget but test your audiences first, and start with a small budget to test your audiences, first – as low as a $2 or $5 dollars a day. You’re always in charge of your budget. Facebook will never spend more than your max if you have set up your campaign properly.

You buy ads on Facebook and Instagram via ad management tool, Ads Manager. You purchase ads by creating an ad and submitting them to an ad auction. The ad auction determines which ads should be shown to which people. Using information you provide in the ads creation process, the auction shows your ad to the people most likely to be interested in it—for the price you bid or less, and never higher.

In the ad creation process, you set parameters that the auction will use to deliver your ad to people such as your audience that you identify with targeting parameters (ex. people interested in yoga in Chicago); the budget is another parameters as week as the type of creative you’re showing your audience (video, images…etc)
