Where will my ideal client meet me for the first time?

Where do they spend their time online? What sites or publications are important for them to read and engage with? How is this different from where I am spending my time (if it’s not the same)?

Where can my ideal client learn more from me?

What social channels do they use most frequently, if any at all? How can I interact there in a way that will be helpful but also allows me to showcase what we offer later on down the line. Are these platforms relevant for your target audience type(s)? If so, how often should you post here and when should you send notifications out via email about new content posted here etc.?

Where can my ideal client learn more about my programs and services? 

What pages on my website should I highlight? What keywords do they commonly search for when looking for what I offer? Is there anything unique about how I deliver my services that I can talk about on my website or in other collateral?

How will people know it’s me talking to them and not someone else pretending to be me (or a competitor)?

One way to make sure you’re speaking directly to your ideal customer is by using language that resonates with them. It can also help to use visuals or stories that are familiar to them. Finally, always be authentic and transparent; let your personality shine through!

Where can my ideal client buy from me?

Your website is the best place to sell, but this can be expanded on depending on what you’re selling. If it’s something tangible like a book or an online course, include links in your email signature and social media posts where people can buy directly from you. You may also want to consider having buttons or widgets embedded onto certain pages of your site for easy access when someone lands there initially.

Where else might my ideal client find me?

Depending on your business type/niche, other places are available that may help get more eyes on you! For example if you run an eCommerce store then being featured somewhere with lots of traffic (e.g., Shopify) could attract new customers who didn’t previously know about you . If you’re a consultant, try being featured in relevant podcasts or webinars. There are many options out there and it’s important to do your research to see where would be the best fit for you!

Sales is all about communication. After all, if you can’t communicate what it is you’re selling and why someone should buy it, then how can you expect them to? In this section, we’ll discuss some tips on how to effectively sell to your ideal customer.
