People Like to Stand Out From The Crowd By Associating Themselves With You
People also like to stand out from the crowd by associating themselves with you. When they see that you’re feeling a certain way, they want to jump on the bandwagon and feel that same emotion too! It’s a great way to get people engaged and connected with your content. So next time you create content, consider that.
Your Audience Like to Have Confidence in the Future
Another way to get people excited is by giving them a sense of confidence in the future. When you convey hope about what’s coming next, your audience will start feeling that too! They want to believe in something good happening and when they see that you do too… it makes an impact on their emotions.
Your Audience Want to Enjoy a Sense of Freedom
Freedom is something that everyone wants, especially your audience. Showing them ways to feel free or how you can give them freedom will make people want to jump on board too! It’s a great way for someone who feels chained down by work responsibilities (or anything else) to get excited about what might be coming next.
Your Audience Want To Enjoy a Sense of Well Being
Another way to get people excited is by giving them a sense of well being or calmness. When you convey peace about what’s going on in your world, your audience will start feeling that too! They want to experience a calming effect and when they see that you do too… it makes an impact on their emotions.
Your Audience Want To Feel Belonging
Believing that you belong somewhere can be one of the best feelings for anyone. It gives someone strength and power within themselves which is why showing how other people are experiencing this powerful emotion might make others feel like trying it too! Showing ways to find belonging or how you experienced belonging yourself can be very helpful for some audiences who need inspiration from seeing something good happen.
You Audience Want a Sense of Thrill
Thrill is something that can be addictive and it’s a great emotion to use when trying to get people excited. When you convey excitement about what’s coming next, your audience will start feeling that too! They want to feel the rush of adrenaline and when they see that you do too… it makes an impact on their emotions.
Your Audience Wants to Protect the Environment
One of the most important things in life is protecting the environment. Not only does this make people feel better about themselves, but it also makes them feel good when they see someone else doing something to help protect our world too! Showing ways that you can protect or how other people are protecting will inspire your audience and get them excited for what’s next.

Next time you scroll your newsfeed on Facebook, LinkedIn & Instagram, I encourage you to notice which of these buckets of desires show up to you and screen capture the posts you consider doing a good job at it.
Then, go back to a few posts of yours and tweak them a bit with this intention in mind: what desire am I activating in this post.
This exercise is available to you for any type of post whether you educate your audience, encourage them or invite them to work with you.
